Our experience in dealing with the aerospace industry is extensive. We understand their unique requirements for accuracy and precision while keeping costs down. We are also familiar with many of the specialist materials they utilise in their engineering processes.
Associated Machines and Tools worked for many years with Marwin Production Systems (Now AB Marwin ) on the development of their Automax 1,2 and 3 spindles. These were all motorised routing spindles with 40 or 45 ISO tapers, power drawbars, 30 – 45 KW power ratings, liquid cooled etc.
AMT developed high speed/ high torque spindles with Cincinnati Milacron running at up to 12500 RPM utilising power drawbars, oil/air lubrication etc., belt driven and gear driven.
Many KTM routing spindles come through us for refurbishment and upgrade. Most recently working with Cross Huller (3) new KTM air cooled, 15KW, 9000RPM routing spindles were manufactured complete for Bae Systems.
High Frequency spindles regularly come through for reconditioning such as GMN, Gamfior, Junkers, Omlat, Precise, etc. Spindle Services have the capability to re-engineer to enhance and improve designs where required. Continuous development with this type of machinery is always of paramount importance.
